How to Apply
Applying to Cal America Education Institute is simple.
All Cal America applicants must complete the application form and submit it online, in person or by mail along with the applicable fees.
- Application fee $100
- Full tuition or tuition deposit $200 (this will be deducted from your tuition later when you pay the remaining balance).
Applying for a Student Visa (Initial F-1)
In order for us to complete your admission and issue an I-20 for F-1 visa,
you must apply and submit all the pertinent documents and initial payment listed below to our school.
We will then start processing your enrollment and mail all documents including the I-20 form to you by express mail.
The minimum enrollment to obtain an I-20 from Cal America is 12 weeks.
1. Copy of your passport (photo page)
2. Current (within 90 days prior to the start date) bank statement showing at least US$14,000.00. Additional $4,200.00 for each dependant (F-2) is required if your family member(s) stays with you.
If the student has a sponsor, please provide the information of the sponsor and submit an affidavit of support from the sponsor with a bank statement stating the responsibility for the student’s expenses while the student studies at Cal America.
3. Appropriate initial fees:
3.1 Application fee: $100 (nonrefundable)
3.2 Tuition deposit: $200
3.3 Express mail service fee: $50 (nonrefundable)
3.4 SEVIS I-901* (immigration) fee: $200 (nonrefundable)
3.5 Airport Pick-Up Service: $100 (nonrefundable**)
3.6 Housing Service: ($250 nonrefundable**)
3.7 Bank charge for wire transfer: $40 (nonrefundable***)

*Important: If you are planning to apply for a student visa, you must pay the $200.00 mandatory immigration registration fee (SEVIS I-901) to the USCIS and $50 express mailing fee.
This SEVIS fee registration receipt will be needed when you make an appointment for your F-1 visa interview.
If you do not include the $200.00 SEVIS fee to Cal America, you must pay this fee by yourself after you receive your I-20 from our school. This fee is nonrefundable.

Transferring to Cal America with an F-1 visa
The student who is already in the U.S. with an active I-20 and wishes to transfer to Cal America, you must first complete the Cal America Transfer Eligibility Form (need downloadable link) top portion then submit to the current attending or last attended school to fill out the rest.
Upon the release of the student’s record to Cal America in SEVIS by your previous school DSO, Cal America will issue a new I-20 for the student.
Please note that you must register for a minimum of 12 weeks of full time course of study in order to receive an I-20 from Cal America.
You must submit us copies of the following documents by fax, e-mail, air mail or in person:
1. Online application OR paper application form
2. Passport copy
3. F-1 visa copy
4. I-94 copy
5. Current I-20 (copy or original)
6. Current bank statement showing at least $4,000.00
7. Transfer Eligibility form Sign and fill out on the top portion and have your school fill out the rest
8. Send appropriate initial fees:
8.1 Application fee: $100 (nonrefundable)
8.2 Full tuition or tuition deposit: $200
